CLIENT BRIEF:
To track a belt of 180m in length within a tolerance of +/- 5mm. To replace feed terminal end with a completely new system which incorporated less mechanical components and aided positive tracking and continuous production.
SOLUTION:
To develop an electro-pneumatic technically advanced solution. A system capable of keeping positive tension of any oven band whilst allowing for thermal expansion of the band. This system would be used especially in systems where precise control of belt tension and tracking are required.
Our in-house design team worked on a bespoke terminal end module for McVities and devoted a specific control algorithm of the PACEMatic belt tensioning and control system.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Integration of our PLC into customer SCADA programming and data software and additional fail safe and back up systems to meet their requirements and satisfaction.
